Workshop participants will explore issues related to the assessment of L2 writers and create assessment tools. The presenter will distribute examples of student writing and assessment rubrics. Then small groups will use authentic writing assignments from their classrooms and create criteria for those assignments, followed by rubric creation based on those criteria. Bring writing assignments that you have created and come ready to create your own assignment criteria and rubrics.
