The presenter will report on a 7-month sabbatical in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, where the presenter lived with a Mexican family, taught a university methods course to English majors, and observed English classes in the public schools. This presentation will highlight the deeper understandings that came out of the sabbatical experience.
