Well-informed citizens are the heartbeat of democracy. But in today’s disinformation environment, filled with propaganda, stereotypes, and consumerism, our students need skills to think critically about media and advertisements. Lorraine Segal will introduce media literacy concepts and present multi-media clips, resources, and projects to help our ESL composition and speech students become effective local/global citizens.
