This workshop will demonstrate strategies to expand English Learners’ academic literacy and achievement in history at any grade level. Presenters will model classroom-tested lessons on the rise of democracy, a 10th-grade content standard, developed through the History Project at UC Davis’s Building Academic Literacy through History Program.
